This more advanced five-day course is designed to provide the participant with the skills necessary to meet Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications, as defined by NFPA 1006, Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications Chapter 5 by teaching industrial response personnel how to safely and efficiently perform basic technical rescues in industrial environments from above ground structures such as water towers, construction sites and elevated areas.
Topics include more advanced application of rope rescue systems encompassing anchor systems, belay systems, rappelling and ascending, mechanical advantage raising systems, lowering systems, methods of rescuing victims, litter packaging and patient packaging.
