This course is designed to meet both qualifications of Exterior and Interior Facility Fire Brigade Member as defined by NFPA 1081 Chapters 5 & 6.
This course will provide new brigade members, as well as existing emergency response personnel with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that may be used to safely resolve emergencies involving interior fire at an industrial facility. This is accomplished through a combination of classroom presentations with an emphasis on hands-on practical drills to reinforce necessary skills.
Topics include protective equipment, in-depth use of SCBA, fire extinguishers, search and rescue, fire streams, interior fire attack principles, and live fire exercises that utilize a class-A burn building and flammable gas props.
