This extensive training is for members commanding scenes… not a generic ICS/NIMS class. This comprehensive course is designed for team leadership managing and responding to fire and/or hazardous material related incidents.
Students will receive 2 qualification documents for the following training:
· Facility Fire Brigade Leader 617-FBL as defined by OSHA 1910.156 (c) & NFPA 600 NFPA 1081
· OSHA On-Scene Incident Commander as defined by OSHA 1910.120 & NFPA 472
This course is designed to meet the qualifications as defined by NFPA 1081 Chapter 7, for those responsible in overseeing the performance activity of other brigade members (often labeled as team Incident Commanders).
We will design tailor suited scenarios for Incipient, Exterior, Interior, Hazmat Operations, and/or Technician specific to each facility attending.
This course also meets NFPA 472 Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials Chapter 8, “Competencies for Incident Commanders,” and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910.120 (q)(6)(iv) for Incident Command level personnel at Hazardous Material Incidents.
OSHA specifically requires verified competency AND proficiency for members operating in this capacity.
